Mobile Home Park & Campground

History

Thorntree Lake Mobile Home Park & Campground was originally opened in 1970 as St. Omer Gravel Company.

The owner and developer, Ralph W. Mandrell, had a vision and begin to develop a campground. Soon the camping area was developed and in 1990, the final phase began, the mobile home park was developed and it became what is now known as Thorntree Lake Mobile Home Park & Campground, LLC.

When the park was only a dream, it was nothing but thorn trees……hence the name, Thorntree Lake. However, now, as you will see when you visit us, you’ll be challenged to find a thorn tree anywhere. You might find some thorns on a few rose bushes, but that’s about it.

Our all-adult section consists of lake front lots while our family section is located in the rear of the park with each lot ranging in size from 1 to 1.5 acre lots.

Our camping section offers 10 full hook-ups which are available year round and 20 water/electric only sites.  We do offer sewer dumping service for our water and electric sites.  We have a heated bath house with showers, restrooms and coin operated laundry facilities. We also offer fire pits at most sites as well as picnic tables upon request and fishing in our 4 acre stocked lake.

We cater to the more mature campers, offering a quiet, peaceful, clean experience! We also host camping clubs upon availability.
